Tooling Services

Tooling Services is a division of Delcam International - CAD/CAM software and hardware suppliers to the Die & Tool industry. We were founded as a demonstration wing for the software product "DUCT" through Delta Technical Services in 1977 (later to become Deltacam Systems and then Delcam International). Whilst we still offer an opportunity for prospective software customers to try out their programs with real tooling manufacture within Tooling Services, we are a business unit in our own right and offer an independent service to our internal and external customers.

Delcam Tooling Services can provide a competitive and diverse range of services to our clients from CAD/CAM only through to NC programming, reverse engineering, manufacture of complex 3D shapes and inspection/assembly of complex tooling.

With a sales turnover for the business of around £1 million, we target high value design, model and manufacture projects as well as providing 'assistance' services for smaller customers from a diverse range of industry sectors including:-

Aerospace:

• Complex 3 dimensional profiles machined in various materials for wing, undercarriage and actuator components.
• Design and manufacture of Dies & Tools for new aircraft projects.

Automotive:

• Dies & tools for presswork, forging, forming and trim applications.
• Reverse Engineering and surfacing for ducts, manifolds and parts not defined in CAD.

Packaging and Domestic Appliances:

• A wide range of modelling and manufacturing services provided.

Nuclear/Power Generation:

• Impellers, turbine blades.

Tooling Companies:

• Assistance for applications outside their range or when they are very busy.

Other sectors served include:

• Cosmetics, Building products, DIY.

Our capabilities cover all sizes of tooling from small moulds and dies up to the largest press and mould tools for the automotive and aircraft industry.

The whole team works on a partnership basis with our customers to advise on the most cost-effective approach and to offer the appropriate service for the project's requirements. Early involvement in projects is encouraged from both a technical and planning perspective to ensure maximum benefit to all involved.
